A native of Albemarle County, he had been a resident of Norfolk most of his life. He resided at 210 Rodgers Avenue, Fox Hall. He was the son of James E. and Mrs. Fanny Shepard [sic] Drumwright. Mr. Drumwright, since 1907, had operated with his son [Linwood] the Speedometer Repair Service at 2607 Granby Street. He was a member of the Christian Science Society and the Maccabees. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bessie Johnson Drumwright; two sons, Lynwood and Alton Drumwright, both of Norfolk; one daughter, Mrs. Grace Austin, of Norfolk; six grandchildren and eight great‑grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Blanche Williams, of Norfolk; four brothers, A. S. Drumwright, Fred Drumwright, and Howard Drumwright, all of Norfolk, and R. K. Drumwright, Sr., of Fork Union. Funeral services will be conducted at the Cox Funeral Home, tomorrow at 3 p.m. by Lee L. Wade. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Drumwright.—Funeral services for Mr. Drumwright, husband of Mrs. Bessie Johnson Drumwright, who died Wednesday, were conducted at the Cox Funeral Home yesterday at 3 p.m. by Lee L. Wade, and services at the grave were conducted by the Rev. Elmore Brown, pastor of Chesterfield Heights Methodist Church. Honorary pallbearers were Charles S. Lassiter, Boyd W. Miller, N. C. Burroughs, Cleve A. Davis, Morris Warriner, Luther D. Gillikin, W. E. Shipp, and Arthur L. Pond. Active pallbearers were Raymond E. Drumwright, George T. Drumwright, Marshall A. Williams, Melvin Williams, George W. Austin, Jr., John T. LaGault, Rodney E. Shields, and William M. Burnett. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.
