Norfolk - Phillip Dubose Jr., of 301 Westover avenue, was given final rites 
Sunday in Hale Funeral Chapel.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with full 
military honors.  He did April 6, in his home following a short illness.

A native of Darlington, SC, he was a son of Mrs. Hannah Dubose and the late 
Phillip Dubose and the husband of Mrs. Ida Mae Dubose.

He worked for Ajax Tile and Marble Company and was a member of St. James AME 
Church.  He was a World War II veteran.

In addition to his mother and widow, he is survived by a son, Howard Dubose, a 
daughter, Mrs. Bertha L. Moore, and three brothers, Gean Dubose, Goshua Dubose 
and Louis Dubose, all of Norfolk;  two sisters, Mrs. Lillie Mae Harris of New 
York and Mrs. Annie Mae Bonepart of Darlington and two grandchildren.
