Samuel L. Dudley, 83, of 800 Johnson avenue, will be buried at Calvary 
Cemetery Saturday after funeral services at Bank Street Baptist Church.

The Rev. J. B. Henderson will officiate and deliver the eulogy. Arrangements 
will be handled by the King Funeral Home.

Mr. Dudley died at his home on Monday after a long illness. A native of 
Norfolk, he was a member of the Excelsior band for many years.

Survivors included his wife, Mrs. Jennie O. Dudley, one daughter, Miss 
Jennie L. Dudley, and seven nieces and nephews. Another daughter, Mrs. 
Mildred Dudley Peters, a supervisor in the Norfolk school system, died about 
three years ago.

Mr. Dudley was a graduate of the old Norfolk Mission College.
