Norfolk Landmark February 17, 1885
Yesterday evening, between the hours of 5 and 6 o'clock, a young white man named 
Caleb Dudley, dropped dead in Brock's grocery store on Church street, it is 
supposed from heart disease. The unfortunate man was engaged in soliciting trade 
from country carts and, becoming chilled, stepped in the store to warm, when he 
fell and almost instantly expired. Deceased was a well-know huckster in the city 
market and resided at No. 183 Wide street, to which place his remains were 
conveyed.
