Virginian-Pilot January 24, 1950
Jesse Thomas Dudley, 67, husband of Mrs. Mabel W. Dudley, died at the residence, 
819 Colonial Avenue, yesterday at 10:40 a.m. Besides his wife, he is survived by a 
daughter, Mrs. Paul L. Stallings; a sister, Miss Mary Dudley; a brother, Roy W. 
Dudley, and a granddaughter, Miss Sharon Gay Stallings, all of Norfolk.
Mr. Dudley was a native of Princess Anne County and had been a resident of Norfolk 
for 51 years. He was the son of the late Jesse T. and Mrs. Elizabeth Land Dudley 
and, until his retirement four years ago, was in the employ of the Life Insurance 
Company of Virginia for 30 years.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home tomorrow at 
2 p.m. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
