Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark December 15, 1932
Mrs. Mattie Smith Dudley, wife of C. Lee Dudley, and daughter of the late Charles 
A. and Sarah Irvine Smith, died at 9:20 o'clock yesterday morning at a local 
hospital.  She was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk and resided at 717 
Westover avenue at the time of her death.  Besides her husband, C. Lee Dudley, she 
is survived by two daughters, Miss Lee Tunstall Dudley and Miss Heath Dudley, of 
Norfolk and one sister, Mrs. L.A. Brock, of Oceana.  Services will be held at H.D. 
Oliver's Funeral Apartments, 610-12 East Freemason street, tomorrow afternoon at 
2:30 o'clock, with the Rev. E. Ruffin Jones, D.D., rector of St. Andrew's 
Episcopal Church, of which Mrs. Dudley was a member, officiating.  Interment will 
be in Elmwood Cemetery.  Friends are requested by the family to omit flowers.
