Norfolk Virginian August 30, 1881

DUDLEY - On Monday afternoon, August 29, 1881, at 3 o'clock, of paralysis, Mrs. 
EMMA DUDLEY, wife of Caleb Dudley, aged 54 years.
Funeral will take place from her late residence, No. 12 Noe's Court, THIS 
(Tuesday) AFTERNOON at 5 o'clock.

                         Funeral of Mrs. Emma Dudley

The funeral of this estimable lady, the wife of Mr. Caleb Dudley of this city 
who died on Monday last at her husband's residence, No. 12 Noe's Court, of 
paralysis of the brain, took place at 5 p.m. yesterday from the house. The 
services were conducted by the Rev. John B. Newton, D.D., rector of St. Luke's 
P.E. Church, in the absence of the Rev. Dr. N.A. Okeson, rector of St. Paul's 
P.E. Church, of which the deceased was an attendant.  The remains were interred 
in Elmwood Cemetery, the following gentlemen acting as pallbearers: S.P. Moore, 
S.W. Weaver, Robert Pettit, James E. Wright, S.W. LeCompte, Frank Pierce, C.S. 
Rogers, John Walters.
