He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. James Duffey, of 5316 Powhatan Avenue, and was employed as a clerk with a stevedoring company when he fell through the coal chute into the hatch of a vessel. Besides his parents, young Duffey is survived by a sister, Frances E. Duffey, director of the Norfolk-Portsmouth Girl Scout Council, and his grandparents of Baltimore. He was a native of Norfolk and recently graduated from St. Mary's Male Academy. The body will be taken from his parents' residence for funeral services Saturday morning at 9 o'clock at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. **************** DUFFEY, WILLIAM EDWARD - At a local hospital Thursday, July 16, 1925, at 4:45 o'clock a.m., WILLIAM EDWARD, son of James D. and Mary Engelhart Duffey, in the 17th year of his age. Remains will be taken from the residence of parents, No. 5316 Powhatan Avenue, to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for services, SATURDAY MORNING, at 9 o'clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend.
