He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. James Duffey, of 5316 Powhatan Avenue, and was employed as a clerk with a stevedoring company when he fell through the coal chute into the hatch of a vessel. Besides his parents, young Duffey is survived by a sister, Frances E. Duffey, director of the Norfolk-Portsmouth Girl Scout Council, and his grandparents of Baltimore. He was a native of Norfolk and recently graduated from St. Mary's Male Academy. The body will be taken from his parents' residence for funeral services Saturday morning at 9 o'clock at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
