 Virginian Pilot October 29, 1955

Mrs. Nora A. Duffy, 82, widow of Thomas J. Duffy, and daughter of William J. and 
Mrs. Helen Sweeney Flynn, a native of Limerick, Ireland and a resident of 
Norfolk for 55 years, died yesterday at 5:25 a.m. at the residence, 1348 West 
48th Street.
Mrs. Duffy was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, the Daughters of 
Isabella, the Ancient Order of Hibernians and the Sodality of the Blessed Virgin 
Mary.
She is survived by a son, Thomas Duffy, Jr.; two daughters, Mrs. J.T. Falls, 
Sr., of Norfolk and Mrs. R.J. Kelley, Jr., of Richmond; three grandsons and a 
niece Miss Ruth Zimmerman, of New York.
The body will be taken from the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Blessed 
Sacrament Catholic Church for funeral services Monday at 10 a.m.  Burial will be 
in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at the funeral apartments 
tomorrow at 7:30 p.m.

1955, at 5:25 a. m., NORA A. DUFFY, widow of Thomas Duffy, Sr., and daughter of 
the late William J. and Helen Sweeney Flynn, in the 83rd year of her age. 
Remains will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial 
Avenue, to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, for funeral services MONDAY 
MORNING at 10 o’clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend. Interment, 
St. Mary’s Cemetery.
