Norfolk - McKinley Duke of 3045 Schooley avenue, the husband of Mrs. Lorrain 
Duke, died in a hospital.

A native of Princess Anne county, he was a son of the late Brad and Mrs. 
Jeanetta Duke.

He worked for Asphalt Materials Co. seven years and retired.

Besides his widow, surviving are two stepsons, Samuel Harris of Norfolk and Leon 
Harris of Edenton, NC;  four daughters, Mrs. Gladys Young of Richmond, Mrs. 
Josephine Lee and Mrs. Loretta Gee of Norfolk, and Mrs. Joetta Harris of 
Edenton, NC;  two brothers, E. Duke of California and Wilber Duke of Boston;  a 
stepbrother, James Ellis of Norfolk;  sisters, Mrs. Cora Godfrey and Mrs. Nancy 
Mullens of Virginia Beach;  and three grandchildren.

Services were held in Hale Funeral Chapel by the Rev. H. W. B. Walker.  Burial 
was in Calvary Cemetery.
