The Norfolk Ledger Dispatch September 20, 1907

The funeral of James M. Duke, who died at his home in South Norfolk yesterday 
morning after a brief illness, will take place from the family residence, corner 
Eighteenth and D Streets, this afternoon at 5 o'clock. The remains will be laid 
to rest in Magnolia Cemetery.

The funeral of the late James M. Duke was conducted from the family residence in 
South Norfolk yesterday afternoon at 5 o'clock, Rev. Q.C. Davis, pastor of the 
South Norfolk Baptist Church, officiating and the interment was in Magnolia 
Cemetery.
