Virginian-Pilot March 28, 1923
Mrs. Jessie Russ Duncan, 45 years old, died yesterday afternoon at 5:15 o'clock at 
the residence, 4000 Newport avenue. She was the wife of William L. Duncan. Mrs. 
Duncan is survived by her husband, three sisters, Mrs. Thomas Sanderlin, Mrs. 
Hattie Sanderlin and Mrs. Robert Ford, and two brothers, John D. and W. C. Russ. 
She was a member of the Park Place Baptist Church. 	
Funeral services will take place tomorrow afternoon at 2:50 o'clock at the 
residence, Rev. Ira D. S. Knight, pastor of Park Place Baptist Church, 
officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
