Norfolk Virginian Pilot December 24, 1942
Mrs. Helen Teressa Blake Duncan, aged 65, wife of Samuel Byrd Duncan, died at a 
local hospital yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock following a brief illness.  She 
was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk.  Mrs. Duncan was a daughter of 
the late Dwight and Mrs. Adelia Swank Blake.  She was a member of the Knox 
Presbyterian Church.  She resided at 2736 Jason street, Gowrie Park.
Surviving Mrs. Duncan, in addition to her husband are two sons, John G. Duncan 
and Dwight W. Duncan, of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. Charles R. Hudgins and Mrs. 
Ruby Mercer, of Norfolk.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Cox Funeral Home, 631 Westover avenue, 
Saturday morning at 11 o'clock.  The Rev. W.H.T. Squires, D.D., will officiate.
Burial will be in the family plot in Magnolia Cemetery.
