He was well known in his community and esteemed. The funeral arrangements will be announced later upon the arrival of his son. In the meantime the remains are being held at the funeral apartments of J.R. Williams in Chestnut Street. *********************************************************************** The funeral of John Duncan, who died at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Margaret Batson Fentress, in Ohio Street, South Norfolk, Thursday afternoon, took place at the above residence yesterday afternoon and was conducted by Rev. E.T. Dadnum, pastor of Memorial M.E. Church. The interment was in Magnolia Cemetery. The deceased is survived by a brother, J.H. Duncan; son, George Duncan and sister, Mrs. Batson Fentress.
