Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, August 11, 1994 
Lenell Pittman Dunn, 92, of the 5800 block of Northampton Blvd., a retired
aircraft mechanic first class, died Tuesday, Aug. 9, 1994, gently and peacefully
at her residence.

Mrs. Dunn was a native of Montgomery, Ala., and the daughter of the late Thomas
C. and Callie Newby Pittman. She was the widow of Albert Dunn. She retired from
the Norfolk Naval Air Station 30 years ago after 16 years of service. She was a
member of First Church of Christ Holiness, USA. During Mrs. Dunn's life she had
been involved in many church organizations, was active in the Missionary Society
and her greatest love was as Day Director of the church for many years.

She is survived by a sister, Ophelia P. Washington of Williamstown, N.J.; many
nieces and nephews, among them Callie W. Rattley of Williamstown and a devoted
great-niece, Monique O. Jones, who lived with her.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Friday in First Church of Christ Holiness,
USA, 862 E. Princess Anne Road, by the Rev. O. Henry Scott. Burial will be in
Calvary Cemetery . Viewing will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Riddick Funeral
Service. The body will be placed in church at 10:30 a.m. Friday. The family will
be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
