Virginian Pilot February 9, 1905

Mrs. Catherine Dunn, aged 72 years, died at her residence, No. 72 Falkland 
Street, last evening at 9 o'clock. Deceased was a well known and highly esteemed 
lady and the news of her death will prove quite a shock to her numerous friends. 
She was a consistent and devoted member of St. Mary's Church, from which the 
funeral will be held Friday morning at 9:30 o'clock.

The funeral of Mrs. Catherine Dunn was held from St. Mary’s Catholic church 
yesterday morning and was largely attended. Requiem mass was celebrated by the 
pastor, Rev. Father John Doherty. During the offertory, “O Salutaris” was 
rendered by Prof. E. J. Doran. There was a profusion of beautiful floral 
offerings. The remains were laid to rest in St. Mary’s cemetery. Following were 
the pallbearers: Nicholas Welsh, M. J. Lyons, Michael Cashin, Sr., Patrick Hart, 
George Downing, John Cullen, William F. Long, Daniel Seay.
