Durfey, a painter in this city, fell from a third-story window in the Callis building on Church street, yesterday afternoon and was painfully injured. He was standing on the window sill, putting in a pane of glass, according to the account given by a lady at his residence, when he lost his footing and fell. The fall was somewhat broken by the balcony, which was perhaps fifteen feet from the window. He struck the railing, breaking two or three of the rails and then fell to the pavement. He was taken to his residence, No 293 Church street and was doing very well when a reporter called late in the afternoon. No bones were broken but it is feared he has been injured internally.
