He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Angelina Minutolo Durr; two daughters, Katherine Brett of Chesapeake and Louise Robinson of Norfolk ; three sons William Barbarisi and Amelio Barbarisi, both of Norfolk and Charles J. Durr Jr. of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Dorothy Harant of Tampa, Fla. and Evelyn Pfeil of Baltimore; and 13 grandchildren. The graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery by the Rev. Santiago Frias. The family will be at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday.
