Norfolk Virginian Wednesday January 6, 1892

Last night, at 11 o'clock, Mr. A. Dusch died at his residence on Avenue C, 
Huntersville, aged 83 years.  Mr. Dusch had been sick only about two weeks with 
general debility.  The immediate cause of his death was the grip.  His wife an 
several children survive him.  Notice of the funeral will be given hereafter.

p.m. ANTON DUSCH, in the 83rd year of his age     
The funeral will take place from his late residence, THURSDAY, January 7th, at 3 
o'clock p.m. Friends and acquaintances invited to attend.

The funeral of Mr. Andrew Dusch, Sr., whose death was announced in The Virginian 
of yesterday, will take place today from his residence, Avenue C, Huntersville.  
Mr. Dusch was a native of Mintze, Germany, but came to America during his early 
manhood and located in New Orleans, La., where he resided for several years.  
Fifty years ago he came to Norfolk and has since resided here.
Some years ago, on account of declining health, he retired from active business.  
In all of his transactions, whether of a business or personal character, he is 
said to have observed the golden rule as far as possible:  "Do unto others as 
you would have them do unto you."  Mr. Dusch was married four times and is 
survived by his last wife.  He leaves ten children, all living here, and among 
his sons are some of Norfolk's most progressive and reliable citizens.
