Mrs. Dyer was a native of North Carolina and a resident of Norfolk for the past 55 years, residing at 33 D View Avenue, Ocean View, at the time of her death. Besides her husband, Michael Dyer, she is survived by three grandchildren, Joseph A. Furlong, Mrs. Lawrence L. Nunn and Mrs. Elwood N. Kelley, all of Norfolk; three great-grandchildren, Dennis Neal Kelley, Linda Lee Kelley and Catherine Virginia Nunn, all of Norfolk, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Hogwood, of Norfolk. The body will be taken from the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial Avenue, to Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ocean View, for funeral services Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock. Burial will be in St Mary's Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at the H.D Oliver Funeral Apartments, tonight at 8 o'clock. **************************************************************************** Mrs. Julia Furlong Dyer — Funeral services for Mrs. Dyer, wife of Michael Dyer, who died Sunday morning at a local hospital, were held yesterday morning at 10 o’clock at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, with the Rev. R. B. Kealey, pastor, officiating. The Rev. John Riordan was present in the sanctuary. Miss Mildred Meath sang "Veni Jesu," "Jesus, Jesus, Come to Me” and “Abide with Me," with Mrs. W. P. Murphy, Jr., as organist. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The pallbearers were Phillip Trafton, Gustave Schneider, Clay Harris, George Heatherton, Jeremiah Coleman and John Callahan.
