Norfolk Virginian Pilot Saturday September 2, 1950
Robert Lee Dyer, 87, husband of Mrs. Susie Leach Dyer, and son of the late 
John R. and Mrs. Mary Ayers Dyer, a native of Princess Anne County, and a 
lifelong resident of this section, died yesterday at four a.m., at the 
residence, 209 Duncan avenue. He was a member of Epworth Methodist Church.
Besides his wife, Mrs. Susie Leach Dyer, he is survived by one son, Ernest 
L. Dyer, of Norfolk.
Services will be conducted at the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Sunday at 
two p.m., by the Rev. Joseph S. Johnston, D.D., pastor of Epworth Methodist 
Church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
