Virginian Pilot October 8, 1958

Mrs. Nannie Dyer, 78, widow of Ernest T. Dyer and daughter of Capt. Thelley and 
Mrs. Elizabeth Hozier Nugent, died at the residence of her niece, Mrs. L.A. 
Buchannan, 613 Delaware Ave., Tuesday at 3:10 a.m.
She is survived by a son, Thomas Melville Dyer, of Norfolk, a brother, Clayton 
Q. Nugent, of Virginia Beach and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Dyer was a native of Petersburg and had been a resident of this area most 
of her life, residing at 2300 Pretty Lake Ave.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Thursday 
at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
