Eardley, 89, of the 1300 block of Laurel Crescent, died June 28, 2006, in Norfolk. Miss Eardley was born in Norfolk, the daughter of the late Anthony Eardley and Ada Kayatt Eardley. She was a retired bookkeeper with Henry Walke Company. Miss Eardley was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Norfolk. She was an avid Washington Redskins, New York Yankees and Notre Dame fan. Miss Eardley was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph J. Eardley, Michael Eardley and Leo Eardley. and two sisters, Nellie Queen and Emeline Smith. Survivors include her sister, Gloria Topp, of Newport News, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews. A funeral Mass will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church by Father Joseph H. Metzger, III. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Norfolk. The family will receive friends at the church an hour prior to Mass. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 5700 Cleveland St., Virginia Beach, VA 23462. H.D.
