Virginian-Pilot  December 29, 1961
NORFOLK - Francis E. Eardley, 65, son of Elias and Mrs. Denbigh Eardley, died 
Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in a Norfolk hospital.

Mr. Eardley, a native of Tripoli, Syria, lived in Norfolk 20 years, lately at 1016 
W. 37th St.

He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

Surviving are four nieces, Mrs. Nellie Eardley Queen and Miss Virginia Eardley of 
Norfolk, Mrs. Gloria Eardley Topp of Woodstock, Va., and Mrs. Emaline Eardley 
Smith of Washington; and two nephews, Joseph J. Eardley and Michael A. Eardley of 
Norfolk.

The Rosary will be recited in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments tonight at 8.  A 
funeral service will be held in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church Saturday at 10 
a.m.  Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
