Mrs. Louise Purdy Eardley, 46, wife of Michael A. Eardley and daughter of the late 
Charles E. Purdy, Sr., and Mrs. Mary Fearon Purdy, a native and lifelong resident 
of Norfolk, died at a Norfolk hospital yesterday at 11:55 a.m. She was a member of 
Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Sodality of that church.
Besides her husband, she is survived by one brother, Charles Purdy, Jr., two 
sisters, Miss Anne E. Purdy, and Mrs. Raymond Pollock, and two nieces, Betty Anne 
and Katherine Pollock, all of Norfolk.
The body will be taken from the residence, 727 West 28th Street, to Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church for funeral services tomorrow at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. 
Mary’s Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at the residence today at 8 p. m.
