VIRGINIA BEACH - Michael A. Eardley, 67, of the 3500 block of Hilber St., died 
March 19, 1988, in Virginia Beach.
Mr. Eardley, a Norfolk native, retired from civil service at the Norfolk Naval 
Shipyard in Portsmouth after 38 years.  He was a member of St. Gregory's Catholic 
Church and a former member of Knights of Columbus, Norfolk.
Survivors include his wife, Johanna K. Eardley; a daughter, Patricia M. Eardley of 
Virginia Beach; two sons, Michael A. Eardley of Chesapeake and Steven J. Eardley 
of Virginia Beach; three sisters, Virginia T. Eardley and Emeline E. Smith, both 
of Norfolk, and Gloria A. Topp of Newport News; and a brother, Joseph J. Eardley 
of Norfolk.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Monday in St. Gregory's 
Catholic Church, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. Paschal Kneip. Burial will be in St. 
Mary's Cemetery, Norfolk. A Christian wake service will be held at 4 p.m. today.  
The family will be at Kellum Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
