Early, 34, of 1215 Seaboard avenue, South Norfolk, who died Saturday night as a result of an automobile accident. He was a native of Princess Anne County but had lived in South Norfolk for 15 years. He was son of the late Joseph William and Ellen Riggs Early and husband of Gertrude Harper Early. Surviving besides his wife are one son, Henry William Early, of South Norfolk; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Early of Portlock, his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Kitty Riggs of Norfolk; his stepmother, Mrs. Mary Batts, of Elm City, N.C.; two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Sawyer, of Norfolk and Mrs. Louise Etheridge of Wilson, N.C., six half sisters, Virginia Jenkins and Edith Farmer of Elm City, Ruth Harley, Marie Early and Berta Grey Pate, of Wilson, N.C., and Betty Mae Williams, of Norfolk; and one half-brother, J.A. Early, U.S.A. ********************* EARLY, WILLIAM W --In a local hospital Saturday night, February 5, 1944. WILLIAM W. EARLY, son of the late Joseph William and Ellen Riggs Early and husband of Gertrude Harper Early, aged 34. Funeral services will be conducted THIS (Monday) AFTERNOON at 4 o'clock in the Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, Ohio and Rodgers streets, South Norfolk. Interment in Magnolia Cemetery.
