Norfolk Virginian Pilot Sunday June 11, 1950
Charles Francis Eason, 79, retired farmer of Hickory, Norfolk County, died 
yesterday at 7:10 a.m. at his residence after an illness of three years.
A native of Hickory, he was the son of the late George W. and Mrs. Virginia 
Lee Eason.  His wife Mrs. Sadie Nichols Eason, died several years ago.  He 
was a charter member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.  
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Annie Maude Braswell, of Norfolk; three 
sons, R.O. Eason, J.P. Eason, and E.M. Eason, all of Hickory; two brothers, 
George W. Eason, and J.B. Eason, both of South Norfolk and three 
grandchildren.
The body was removed to the Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk, and will be 
taken from there to Pleasant Grove Church for funeral services tomorrow at 3 
p.m.  Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.

Charles Francis Eason -- Funeral services for Mr. Eason, who died Saturday 
morning, were conducted in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church yesterday at 3 p.m. 
by the Rev. H.P. Miller, pastor, assisted by the Rev. John W. Hobbs, pastor 
of Hickory Methodist Church.  Pallbearers were Joshua and Alex Charlton, 
Edward Brickhouse, George Culpepper, M.H. Meekins, W.W. Cowan, Jesse Eason, 
Sidney and Wilbur Charlton, Robert Brothers, Arthur Old, and Bruce, George 
and William Eason.  Burial was in Magnolia Cemetery.
