Eason Was Visiting in Danville; Funeral in Norfolk Charles L. Eason, three-year-old son and only child of Maj. and Mrs. George W Eason, of Raleigh, formerly of Norfolk, and grandson of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Eason, Sr., of South Norfolk, was fatally injured Saturday night when he fell from a second-floor apartment house window in Danville. The boy and his parents had gone from Raleigh, where Major Eason is an instructor in ROTC at North Carolina State College, to Danville to visit relatives for the week-end. The Easons were calling on Mr. and Mrs. Charles Evans, Jr., when the tragedy occurred. Charles, after eating ice cream with the Evans children, began playing in the apartment. The children were romping in all the rooms of the apartment and suddenly Charles was missing. The small daughter of the Evans had come into the room where the parents were sitting and said; "I can't find Charley." William Wallace, who was passing in a car, said he saw the boy strike the pavement after a 25-foot fall. He notified the parents. Examination at a Danville hospital, where the child died a half hour after the accident, showed that he had fallen on his head, fracturing his skull. Besides his parents and paternal grandparents, he is survived by his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charley T. Wells, of Ringgold; two aunts, Mrs. Jack Fitts, of Ringgold and Mrs. Betsy Moses, of Chatham and the following uncles, Jesse W. Eason and Sidney E. Charlton, of Hickory, J. Morgan Wells, Charley T. Wells, Jr. and R. Kenon Wells, of Danville and Thomas Jack Wells, of Norfolk. The body was brought here yesterday to the Francis A. Gay Funeral Home in South Norfolk. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. ********************************************** Charles Lee Eason - Funeral services for Charles Lee Eason, 3, who died in Danville Saturday night, will be conducted today at 2:30 p.m. at the Francis A.
