Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark July 9, 1922

Mrs. Bettie Elizabeth Eason, 65 years old, died at 5:05 o'clock yesterday 
afternoon at her home, 26 Perry Street, South Norfolk, after a brief 
illness.  She was a daughter of the late Hilroy and Mrs. Bettie Cowan Ward, 
of Bertie County, N.C. and had lived in this section thirty years.  Mrs. 
Eason was the widow of S.C. Eason and is survived by five children, William 
Eason, James C. Eason, Mrs. W.S. Wilson, Alfred Eason, of this city and Mrs. 
G.A. Kirkwood, of Victoria, Va. and eight grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. W.S. 
Wilson, 94 Chesapeake Avenue, Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock and burial will 
be in the family lot in Magnolia Cemetery.
