Berkley - Funeral services for Mrs. Marcella Eason, well known Southside matron
who died suddenly at her home, 517 Louisa street Thursday were held from New
Central Baptist Church Sunday afternoon with the pastor, the Rev. J. H. Lucas
officiating.

During the services solos were rendered by Mrs. Mary Johnson and Mrs. Mae Emma
Wilson.  Condolences were read by Mrs. Ernestine Corprew.

Mrs. Eason’s death came as a distinct shock to the entire community as she was
seemingly enjoying the best of health.

Interment took place in the Mt. Olive Cemetery with the Chatman Funeral Home in
charge.
