Edward R. East died 7:20 o'clock last night at a local hospital after a short il
illness. He was 67 years old and had been a resident of Norfolk all his life. He is
is survived by two sons, J. C. East of Norfolk, and L. S. East, of the United St
States Marine Corps, and by two daughters, Mrs. Almond Carter and Mrs. Herron, bo
both of New York City. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
