Virginian-Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark (Norfolk, Virginia) Sunday, November 20, 1932
Mrs. Virginia Whitehurst East. 83, widow of William P. East, and daughter of th
the late William E. and Mary Staylor Whitehurst, died at 11:30 o'clock Friday ni
night at the residence, 1800 East Olney Road. She was a native and lifelong re
resident of Norfolk and is survived by one daughter, Mrs. P. D. Barco; three gr
grandchildren, Mrs. J. K. Kelly, Mrs. R. W. McDonald and E. Bailey Barco, three gr
great-grandchildren; one brother, J. A. Whitehurst, all of Norfolk, Services wi
will be held at H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 610-12 East Freemason Street, th
this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, with the Rev. J. G. Unruh, pastor of McKendree M.
M. E. Church, of which Mrs. East was a member, officiating. Interment will be in
in Elmwood Cemetery.
