Virginian-Pilot November 14, 1899
The obsequies of Mr. Thomas East, who departed this life at his residence, on 
Corprew avenue, Brambleton Ward, Friday night, were held from Trinity M. E. Church 
Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock. The services were conducted by Rev. Lloyd T. 
Williams, pastor. The remains were laid to rest in Elmwood cemetery.
