Eaton, aged 78, died at a local hospital yesterday morning at 3:30 o'clock after a long illness. He was a native of Boston and had been a resident of Norfolk for 50 years. Surviving him are two daughters, Mrs. Leona E. Hayes and Mrs. Lottie Virginia Toliver, of Norfolk; five grandchildren and 13 great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock from the funeral home of James V. Derry, 346 West Princess Anne Road. Father Leo J. Ryan will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. ************************************************************************* William S. Eaton — Funeral services for Mr. Eaton, who died Friday, were conducted yesterday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock from the funeral home of James V. Derry and were largely attended. Father Leo J. Ryan, pastor of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, officiated. There were many beautiful floral offerings, the casket being covered with a double spray of roses, carnations and fern. Pallbearers were U. G. Swartz, R. L. Garris, A. A Mathisen, W. D. Mudd, Joseph Ballance and A. K. Swartz. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
