Virginia Beach - Dr. Wilbert Delano Edgerton, 81, of the 6300 block of Dartmouth 
Way passed away on February 10, 2015. Dr. Edgerton retired after years of 
service as an educator in various schools in the region including Norfolk State 
University. He received a Bachelor's Degree in History from Virginia State 
University, a Masters in Media from Indiana University and a PhD in Media 
Technology and Instructional Systems from Columbia University. He leaves to 
cherish his memory his sister, Josephine Brown of Virginia Beach and a host of 
nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held, 11 a.m., Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at 
Metropolitan Funeral Service, 7246 Granby St., Norfolk, VA. A viewing will be 
held, 1-7 p.m., Monday, February 16, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment will be 
held at Calvary Cemetery, Norfolk, VA.
