NORFOLK - Roger Reynolds Edmunds, of the 1100 block of Merrimac Ave., a retired
self-employed general contractor, died January 1, 1990, in a hospital.

Mr. Edmunds,  native of Norfolk, had retired after 60 years. He was the widower of
Leona G. Edmunds. He was a member and trustee emeritus of Mount Olive Baptist Church
and was a member of Metro Anglers Fishing Club. He was a World War II veteran.

Survivors include two daughters, Myra E. Owens of Norfolk and Brenda Cantanese of
Chesapeake; two sisters, Mary E. Fields of Norfolk and Elmira E. Williams of
Chesapeake; and two grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Mount Olive Baptist Church by the
Rev. John R. Davis. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may join the family
at 316 Fernwood Farms Road, Chesapeake, and will assemble there for the procession.
The body will be place in the church at 10 a.m. Friday. Hale Funeral Home is
handling arrangements.
