Virginian Pilot February 23, 1994

Ernestine J. Edney of the 2700 block of Chesterfield Blvd., a retired dietician, 
died Feb. 21, 1994, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Edney was born in Glouster County, Va. She retired from Norfolk Community 
Hospital after 27 years and was a former member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church. She 
was the widow of Joseph P. Edney.
Survivors include a daughter, Gaynell Edwards of Norfolk; four grandchildren; 
and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hale Funeral Home by the Rev. 
J.L. Kearney Sr. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. The family will assemble 
at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Thursday.
