Virginian Pilot, Friday, Dec 26,1969

Norfolk - Joseph P. Edney of 237 W. 26th St. died Thursday in a hospital.

A native of Edenton, NC, he was a son of Joseph T. Edney and the late Mrs. Ada 
Littlejohn Edney and the husband of Mrs. Ernestine Edney.

He was a member of Hood Chapel and an employe of Daniel Construction Co.

Besides his wife and father, he is survived by a son, Joseph Edney of Norfolk;  
a stepdaughter, Mrs. Gaynelle Edwards of Norfolk;  a stepbrother, Robin White of 
Brooklyn NY;  and a stepsister, Mrs Hattie White of Portsmouth.

A funeral service will be held today at 1:30 p.m. in Hood Chapel.  Burial will 
be in Calvary Cemetery.  Graves Funeral Home has charge.
