Norfolk Virginian Pilot Tuesday Mary 19, 1953
Herbert Lee Edwards, 82, of 1835 Princeton Avenue, Campostella, died at De 
Paul Hospital yesterday at 12:30 p.m. after an illness of five years.  A 
native of Surry County, Mr. Edwards had been a resident of Norfolk for the 
past 65 years.  He was the son of the late William John and Virginia 
Caroline King Edwards and husband of the late Grace Lillian Page Edwards.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Lillian E. Watson, of New York City and 
Mrs. Beula E. Sutton and Miss Ellen Lee Edwards, both of Norfolk; a sister, 
Mrs. W.S. Roundtree and a brother, William H. Edwards, both of South 
Norfolk; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at Sykes Funeral Home tomorrow at noon.  
Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
