Norfolk - Dewey McCou (Duck) Edwards of 2848 Febian Ave., an employee of N. & B. 
Construction Co., died July 17 in a hospital.
A native of Washington, NC, he was a son of the late James Edwards Sr. and Mrs. 
Lula Edwards.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Gloria Erwin and Miss Denise Edwards of 
Norfolk;  three sons, Army S.Sgt. Dewey Gene Edwards of Germany, Ray L. Edwards 
and Bernard W. Edwards of Norfolk;  three sisters, Mrs. Catherin Whitney, Mrs. 
Beulah Kelly, and Mrs. Lula Mae Shambry, and three brothers, James Edwards Jr., 
Mayhue Edwards, and Ivory D. Edwards, of Norfolk;  and nine grandchildren.
A funeral service was held July 22 in Riddick Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Edwards 
Shambry Jr.  Burial, with military honors, was in Calvary Cemetery.
