Virginian-Pilot July 16, 1936
James Nash Edwards, aged 43, died yesterday morning at 7:40 o'clock in a local 
hospital after a long illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk, 
and at the time of his death lived at 406 Third street, Ocean View. He was for a 
number of years an interior decorator.
He was the son of the late James, and Mrs. Margaret Brown Edwards, and besides 
his mother, is survived by two sons, James W. and Jay Nash Edwards; three 
daughters, Miss Dorothy Edwards, Miss Jean Edwards and Mrs. Margaret Whitehurst; 
and one grandchild, Derrell N. Whitehurst, all of Norfolk.
Funeral services will be conducted this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at the James 
V. Derry Funeral Home, 346 West Princess Anne road, by the Rev. H. Wark Curry, 
pastor of Ocean View Methodist Church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
