Virginian-Pilot October 25, 1966
NORFOLK - William Jordan Edwards, 85, of 2200 Shoop Ave., died in his home 
Sunday.
A native of Franklin County, N.C., he lived here 75 years. He was the husband of 
the late Mrs. Rosa Collier Edwards and a son of Joseph J. and Mrs. Melanie 
Bowden Edwards.
He was a member of Temple Baptist Church. Before his retirement, he was a 
metalsmith at Norfolk Naval Air Station.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Irene E. Smith of Cumberland and Miss 
Bessie C. Edwards of Norfolk; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Norfolk 
Chapel, today at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Floyd W. Cox of Temple Baptist Church. 
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
