NORFOLK - Annie Brown Edwards, 100, went home to be with the Lord Feb. 8, 2009,
while a resident of the Chestnut Grove Assistant Living Facility in Richmond, Va.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest George Edwards; two sons, Ernest G.
Jr. and Frank Edwards; and two sisters.

She leaves to remember her, one daughter, Ruby E. Watkins of Richmond; two sons,
Frederick Edwards (Mildred) of Houston, Texas, Robert B. Edwards (Gaynell) of
Norfolk; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruby Smith; a devoted
brother-in-law, Ernest Smith; lifelong friends, Gertrude Abbot and Ellen Powell; a
host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be held at 6 p.m. today in March Funeral Home Chapel, 2110 E.
Laburnum Ave. Monsignor Walter Barrett Jr. officiating. Graveside service will be
held at noon Saturday in Calvary Cemetery, 1600 St. Julian Ave., Norfolk.
