Edwards, 67, of 950 Maltby Ave., the widow of Harrison Edwards, died Monday at 3 a.m. in a hospital. A native of Enfield, N.C., she was a daughter of Caesar and Mrs. James H. Hines. She was retired after 20 years as a beautician. She was a Sunday School teacher of First Baptist Church, Bute Street, and member of Mary Brown's Missionary Circle, and United Order of Tents. Surviving are three brothers, Samuel Hines of Charleston, S.C., and Johnnie Hines and Joseph Hines of New York. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in First Baptist Church, Bute Street, by the Rev. E. Paul Simms. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with Hale Funeral Home in charge.
