The Virginian-Pilot, Wednesday, October 18, 1967

NORFOLK - Mrs. Blanche C. Edwards of 305 W. 15th St. died Tuesday morning in a
hospital after a long illness.

A native of Middlesex County, she was a daughter of the late George Edwin and Mrs.
Mary Sue Braxton and the wife of William Edwards.

She was a member of St. Mark's Congregational Christian Church.

Besides her husband, surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Josephine Wilkins and Mrs.
Hazel M. Lewis of Norfolk, Mrs. Rosa L. Jameison of Richmond, Calif., and Miss
Gladys C. Edwards of Berkeley, Calif; four brothers, Vann Braxton, William Braxton,
and Thomas Braxton of Norfolk and Edwin Braxton of Middlesex County; 14
grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

The body was taken to Riddick Funeral Service.
