Joe Gray Edwards, 80, of Keystone Heights, Florida and a longtime resident of 
Franklin, Virginia and the Tidewater area. Mr. Edwards went to be with the 
Lord 
on June 13, 2001. He was born in Franklin, Virginia on October 24, 1920 the 
son 
of the late Livious Mae Edwards and Bessie Nora Gray Edwards. Mr. Edwards was 
a 
member of Sycamore Baptist Church of Franklin and was baptized in 1931 at the 
age of 11. He was a carpenter. Mr. Edwards is predeceased by his wife, Lucille 
Mae Edwards, his two brothers and a sister. He is survived by his children, 
Alvin C. Edwards of Orange Park, FL, Audrey M. Edwards of Keystone Heights, 
FL, 
Joe Garry Edwards of Virginia Beach, VA, Carolyn E. Marshall of Chesapeake, 
VA, 
and Janet E. Bostic of Norfolk, VA; sisters, Dorothy Ozwald of Virginia Beach, 
VA and Shirley Crum of Franklin, VA; 10 grandchildren; and 2 great 
grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Monday, June 18, 2001 at 
Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel with Rev. R. Warren and Rev. 
Karen 
Harp, officiating. Interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk, Virginia. The 
family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, June 17, 2001 from 
79 
PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of North Central Florida.
