Tues, Oct. 13, 1903, pg. 8 The Rev Edmond Bombay Edwards, of Shenandoah Avenue, died at his home on last Sunday morning at 4:30 o'clock. Mr. Edwards was in his 67th year. Mr. Edwards had been an assiduous laborer in the interests of the gospel for about forty years. Twenty five years of which had been devoted to the missions in India. Mr. Edwards was the originator of the Chinese Mission at Norfolk. The funeral took place yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Baptist Church. The services were conducted by the Rev. G.W. Cox, assisted by the Rev. C.H. McGhee and the Rev. J.B. Waller. Present at the services were the Rev. George W. Cox, pastor of the church, the Rev. C.H. McGee., and the Rev. J. H. Waller, each of who made a short talk on the life and good deeds of Mr. Edwards. The funeral was largely attended and the floral tributes beautiful. Following were the pall-bearers; Messrs. M. Britt, E.J. Winborne, W.C. Patterson, L.H. Hughes, J.T. Martin ad H. J. Wood. Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery.
