The Virginian Pilot March 24, 1992
Melvin Edwards, of the 1700 block of Princeton Ave., a retired auto mechanic, 
died March 19, 1992, in a hospital. 
Mr. Edwards was born in Norfolk and had retired from Firestone Highway Service 
Store after 29 years. 
Survivors include a daughter, Ivy Martin of Germany; three sons, Melvin Edwards 
Jr., Nathaniel Edwards and Dexter Edwards, all of Norfolk; and four 
grandchildren. 
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Graves Funeral Chapel. 
Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. The family will assemble at the residence. 
Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
